3rd Year Hospice
California Polytechnic
University, San Luis Obispo
The intent of this project is to study the effects of architecture on
a dying patient by expressing energy in a form that speaks to a Hospice
as a place to live instead of a place to die. This was accomplished through
the use of separating structure and skin, pentrating volumes, and relating
the skeletal strucutre and skin to the human body.
The project was studied through the exclusive use of models to design
and drawings done after the initial design phase.
